Building hand strength, pencil control, letter formation, scissor skills, dexterity and confidence with school-based tasks.
So much of a child's day depends on fine motor skills, the small, precise hand movements behind holding a pencil, using scissors, doing up buttons and managing lunch. When these skills are tricky, school tasks can feel frustrating and tiring.
What it can look like
- An awkward or tiring pencil grip and messy handwriting
- Difficulty with scissors, drawing or construction toys
- Avoiding colouring, writing or craft activities
- Trouble with buttons, zips, shoelaces and lunch packaging
How we can help
We build hand strength, coordination and control through activities that feel like play, then bridge those skills into real tasks like handwriting and self-care. We also share simple grips, tools and strategies for home and the classroom.
