Terms & Conditions
Last updated 27 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the SenseAbility Therapy website and the occupational therapy services we provide. By using our website, making a referral or enquiry, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
About our services
SenseAbility Therapy provides paediatric occupational therapy services, including assessment, therapy and reporting, for children, teenagers and young adults across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay, delivered at home, school, in the community, or via telehealth.
Our services are provided by, or under the supervision of, an AHPRA-registered occupational therapist. Information provided on this website is general in nature and does not replace individualised clinical assessment or advice.
Referrals and bookings
- No formal referral is required to access our services.
- Referrals and enquiries can be made through our website forms (hosted through our practice management platform, Splose), by phone, or by email.
- Submitting a referral or enquiry does not guarantee an appointment. We will contact you to confirm availability and discuss next steps.
NDIS and funding
- We provide supports for NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants, as well as privately funded clients.
- Funding decisions, including plan amounts and support categories, are made by the NDIA or other relevant decision-makers, not by SenseAbility Therapy.
- It is your responsibility to ensure sufficient funding is available in your plan for the services you request.
Appointments, cancellations and fees
Before therapy begins, we provide a formal Service Agreement setting out the exact supports, hours and fees agreed for your child, based on their specific needs. The general policies below apply to all clients.
Private clients
Fees are charged per session type, at an hourly rate of $215 (charged pro rata for the actual time involved):
- Initial appointment (up to 1 hour): $215
- Extended initial appointment (up to 2 hours): $430
- Short follow-up (45 minutes total: 30 minutes session, 15 minutes documentation): $180
- Follow-up (60 minutes total: 45 minutes session, 15 minutes documentation): $215
- Non-face-to-face work (session planning, communications, resource development, stakeholder meetings, report writing and finalising treatment notes): billed pro rata at $215/hour
The first 15 minutes of travel is included in the session fee. Travel beyond 15 minutes is billed pro rata at $215/hour.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment. Less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend without notice, incurs a fee of 100% of the scheduled appointment, plus any travel costs already incurred.
NDIS-funded clients
Fees for assessments, therapy sessions, non-face-to-face work and travel are charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits current at the time of service, and are set out in your individual Service Agreement. These amounts are reviewed annually in line with NDIS Price Guide updates, and you'll be given prior notice of any change.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment. Less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend without notice, incurs a fee of 100% of the scheduled appointment (billed from your NDIS supports), plus any travel costs already incurred.
Payment
- Invoices for private clients are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.
- Self-managed NDIS participants are invoiced directly and are responsible for submitting their own payment request; plan-managed participants are invoiced directly to their plan manager.
- Fees may increase from time to time, with reasonable prior notice provided to you.
